I've had nothing but good luck with mine. I purchased this model because I don't own that much vinyl, and wanted a turntable that could easily be stored on a shelf, away from dust. But when I want to use it, it's just a simple plug and play, and you're set. Sure, the speakers aren't top notch, but you get what you pay for. Don't buy this expecting the same quality you'd get from a component grade stereo turntable, because you're just not going to get that!

However, for the price, and for someone that's looking for a portable turntable that is reliable, this was a great option for me.

Oh, I also like how the lid hinges are made so that you can easily unhook them and completely remove the lid. That's a nice feature.

The first person to write a review is a moron. Anyone who has ever used a record player knows that you need to move the needle an inch or to away from the turntable to get it to start spinning; you dont just turn it on and it starts to spin. Try reading the directions next time. This record player is a great remake of record players in the past. If you are condiering buying it, I say get it.

When my dad's old stereo turntable spun for the last time, I thought I'd never be able to find a cheap turntable to play his old records, but then I stumbled over this neat little record player and I've got to say that this is one awesome piece of hardware for the price you pay! Great sound, and very easy to work.

i found this online and went out to the target 45 minutes away to save shipping and have it right away. i got it home and threw on one of my moms old albums, and imediatly fell in love with it. two days after buying it i went out to my local record theater store to start my own record collection, picked up a brand new virgin vinyl AC/DC album and listed to it when i got home, absolutly no "noise" whatsoever, so much better than CDs or mp3 downloads, i love it. if you want a record player to play old records or start a new collection, this is perfect.
